A temporary ceasefire negotiated for a corner of southern Ukraine brought a brief respite to the city of Kherson, where residents are usually hunted by Russian FPV drones and guided bombs. During the truce, streets filled with families, couples and shoppers enjoying walks and open cafes without the constant sound of explosions. The pause in hostilities also allowed for the evacuation of hundreds of residents from the nearby town of Oleshky, where people had been surviving on meager supplies. While the truce has since ended, the short break offered a glimpse of normal life reminiscent of the past. Source: NPR
