Although average monthly outgoings fell from £1,657.67 to £1,477.85, average take-home income dropped even further, falling by over £355 to £2,203.00. Consequently, household bills and outgoings now account for 67% of reported monthly income, up from 65% previously. The data shows drops in spending on energy, water, insurance, gym memberships, subscriptions, and groceries. However, recent months have seen slight increases in vehicle fuel, energy, and water spending as winter approaches.
