The fire has badly damaged the family's home A mum and her two children have been forced from their home after a blaze left them with nothing in a "matter of moments". Sam Baker, 44, was unwinding with her two children, aged five and four, at their home on Tuesday evening when the devastating incident unfolded. She had put clothes in the tumble dryer and moved into the lounge to spend time with her son and daughter before bedtime. However, when she returned to the kitchen she found the tumble dryer alight. She managed to drag it away from the wall before evacuating the property in Northop Hall, Flintshire , with her children, and alerting the fire service. While they escaped uninjured, the kitchen was devastated by the fire and the remainder of the property affected by smoke and heat damage. Friend Charlotte Howarth said: "In a matter of moments, the security and stability she has worked so hard to provide for her family was taken away. "She is now facing the heartbreaking reality of having lost her home and needing somewhere safe to stay so she can begin to rebuild her life." Parts of the home have been affected by smoke damage She has launched a Gofundme fundraiser for the family to help them during this challenging period, reports North Wales Live. Charlotte said: "She is never someone who asks for help, she is always the one helping others but we wanted to do something for her and her family." Always keep on top of the latest Welsh news with our newsletter She continued: "One of her children is autistic, which makes having a safe, familiar and stable environment particularly important. The children have lived in Northop Hall for all of their lives and attend Northop Hall Primary school . "It is our priority to keep Sam's autistic little boy's distress as minimal as possible. Sadly, this tragedy has come at an already incredibly difficult time. Just a week before the fire, Sam's car failed its MOT, leaving her without transport. "This means she is now struggling not only to get to work and maintain her income, but also to travel to see her children, who are currently staying with their dad. She has lost so much in such a short space of time, and the challenges ahead are enormous. "I would love to raise funds to help buy her a new car so that she can continue to work and ensure her children can attend school. Nobody should have to face so much hardship at once, especially a mum trying her very best to provide for her children. "Any donation, no matter how small, would mean so much. If you cannot donate, please consider sharing this appeal. Every little bit of kindness will help this family take another step towards rebuilding their lives. "Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, generosity and support. This is only temporary Sam, we've got you babe."
