Vardhman Textiles Limited has reported a sharp year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit, reaching ₹358.76 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2026. This represents a significant 91.08 percent surge compared to the ₹187.76 crore recorded in the corresponding period of the previous financial year. The impressive financial performance was supported by higher revenue and improved profitability across operations. Revenue from operations increased by 15.55 percent to reach ₹2,865.65 crore during the quarter, up from ₹2,480.10 crore in the year-ago period. Total income, which includes other sources of revenue, stood at ₹2,919.02 crore. The company also reported a profit before tax of ₹477.47 crore, reflecting a substantial improvement in quarterly earnings and boosting the net profit margin to approximately 12.52 percent compared to 7.57 percent previously. Total expenses rose to ₹2,458.84 crore from ₹2,280.36 crore, marking an increase of approximately 7.83 percent. Because this expense growth was significantly lower than the 15.55 percent increase in revenue, it indicated better cost absorption and stronger operating leverage. Basic earnings per share nearly doubled to ₹12.54 from ₹6.57. Moving forward, market observers and investors will closely monitor global textile demand, fluctuations in raw material costs, export market conditions, and broader profitability trends to see if the company can sustain this robust financial momentum in subsequent quarters. #VardhmanTextiles #BusinessNews #Earnings #TextileIndustry #FinancialResults #Source: Free Press Journal
